Due to the microscopic miscreant, also known as coronavirus, we have all had to adapt the way we work. Speaking from experience, it’s hard to motivate yourself to do the simplest of tasks because we are at home; our sanctuary, our place of zen and debauchery. We make excuses and veer away from being the lean-mean-productivity-machines that we once were.
It is very hard to pull yourself out of that mind frame, especially with the news bombarding us with information that we don't want to hear, and giving us no clear end in sight. However, I’m going to let you into a little secret that I have recently discovered.
Now you may find this trivial, but it has massively helped me become more productive and be able to enjoy the little things.
What am I talking about I hear you ask? As the title may suggest, a quarantine routine. Bringing the routine into quarantine will bring structure into our lives, and massively aid in fitness, well-being and general productivity.
This isn’t something that is set in stone though, you can change around your days if you please, but this gives you more structure and the ability to allocate specific times for specific things.
Here is an example:
Not only does it include productive activities but also activities to help keep you sane! As humans, we need to keep ourselves busy and this is the perfect opportunity to do all of those tasks that you’ve been ‘meaning to get around to’. Stick it on your list and you’ll get them all done within a week!**
Why not give this a try and let us know how you get on.
Be safe out there everyone!
**Don’t hold us to this, we know we’re all procrastinators
